AI contract review and legal research under Kazakhstan law

An Assistant that cites Kazakhstan legislation, contract risk review, vaults, review tables and court practice analysis, in one platform.

Assistant

In the app Ассистент

Legal research that cites Kazakhstan law

The Assistant is a research chat for work under Kazakhstan law. It searches a curated database of Kazakhstan’s codes and laws first and cites the act and article it relied on, with the edition date when available.

Sources
The legislation database first. When it is not enough, a web search that prioritises official sources such as adilet.zan.kz, gov.kz, akorda.kz and parlam.kz, and aifc.kz and iac.kz for AIFC matters. Other sites can also appear.
Citations
Numbered markers such as [1] and [2] open a Sources panel grouped into Documents, Knowledge base and Web.
Progress
Answers stream live, and a progress panel shows which searches it ran in legislation and in your documents.
Languages
Ask in Kazakh, Russian or English, and general answers come back in your language.

If the database has nothing relevant, the assistant is instructed to say so rather than answer from memory. Output must be reviewed by a lawyer.

How an answer is grounded

The right mode for the task

It recognises a general question, tax, contract analysis, drafting or translation, and shows the mode it chose as a badge.

Clarifying questions first

For complex tasks it asks a few quick multiple-choice questions before it starts.

Up to 100 files per chat

PDF, Word (.docx), Excel, PowerPoint (.pptx), Outlook e‑mails (.msg), images and scans. If a file cannot be read, it tells you instead of guessing.

Contract review

In the app АссистентРежим: Анализ

AI contract review with a risk report

Attach a contract to an Assistant chat and ask for a risk scan. You get a structured report with a risk score, deal-breakers and risks ranked by severity.

  • A risk score and the deal-breakers at the top of the report
  • Risks ranked by severity, each with a quote from the contract and a recommendation
  • Suggested redlines and fallback positions, where it proposes them
  • Your team’s practice profile applied when one is set up
  • The report is produced in Russian by default

Vault

In the app Хранилище

A private vault for every matter

A vault is a private document workspace: keep one per deal, client or matter, and attach it to a chat to get answers grounded in your own documents.

File size
Up to 500 MB per file, with nested folders and bulk upload
Formats
PDF, Word (.docx), Excel, PowerPoint (.pptx), Outlook e‑mails (.msg), images and scans
OCR
Built-in OCR makes scanned PDFs and photographed documents searchable and is tuned for Kazakh and Russian. Processing runs in the background and retries automatically.
Preview
PDFs, images and PowerPoint slides open inside the workspace
Search
By meaning, not keywords: it finds the most relevant passages across the vault
In a chat
Attach one or more vaults to an Assistant chat, and the answer shows the passages it quoted
Access
Private to your account. You can delete documents and vaults at any time.

Review tables

In the app ХранилищеТаблицы анализа

One row per document, one column per question

A review table turns a set of documents into one table. Ask the same questions of every document, such as parties, contract value, term, governing law or termination rights, and the cells fill in live.

Six answer types

  • Text
  • Number
  • Date
  • Yes/No
  • Currency
  • Verbatim quote

Export formats

  • Excel (XLSX)
  • CSV
  • PDF
  • Word (DOCX)
  • Plain text (TXT)
  • Every answer comes with the source passages it was drawn from
  • A confidence score per cell, in the detail panel and as colour-coding in the Excel export
  • Edit or re-run any cell

Court practice analysis

In the app Аналитика

Court practice for your dispute

Describe a dispute in plain language. AdiletAI works out your side (plaintiff or defendant) and the dispute category, searches public Kazakhstan court and legal websites with official sources ranked first, and builds a table of relevant decisions.

  1. Describe the dispute

In plain language. Optionally connect a vault, so your case documents inform the research.

  2. Review the decisions

Court, date, applied norms, the court’s legal position and a link to the source, where the source states them.

  3. Weigh the risks

Winning and losing patterns linked to their decisions, a risk register where each risk cites its basis or is labelled a hypothesis, and a prioritised preparation checklist.

  4. Prepare the memorandum

A one-page summary for a partner, and an auto-assembled memorandum that you can edit and export as Markdown, HTML or plain text.

Illustration: exporting the memorandum after the citation check found no mismatches. Sample data.
  • Before export, every case number, norm and link in the memorandum is checked against the analysis’ own source list, and mismatches are flagged.
  • Runs in the background, so you can close the tab. Each analysis is private to the lawyer who created it, outcomes can be recorded later, and output is in Russian.

Drafting and translation

In the app Ассистент

First drafts and translation

Two more modes of the Assistant: an editable first draft to start from, and translation between Kazakh, Russian and English.

Questions about languages

Drafting beta

Ask for a contract, claim, letter or power of attorney, and an editable first draft opens in a panel next to the chat. Drafts are produced in Russian by default.

Translation

Translate documents between Kazakh, Russian and English. The translation keeps the structure, requisites and amounts intact.

Practice profile

In the app Профиль практики

Your team’s practice profile

The practice profile is your team’s playbook. The Assistant and the contract scan apply it, and we set it up with you during onboarding.

Positions on key terms
Where your team stands on terms such as liability, penalties and termination.
Deal-breakers
Terms your team does not accept without changes.
Escalation rules
Who approves which amounts and risks.
House style
How your team works, for example the tone of suggested edits and the language of documents.

When a contract scan applies the profile, the report is marked as checked against the team playbook. Проверено по playbook команды

Built for Kazakhstan. Its law, its official sources and three languages

Kazakhstan law first

The Assistant is instructed to rely on Kazakhstan law, not Russian Federation law. Tax questions switch to a tax mode that takes rates and articles from the Tax Code in its legislation database.

Priority for official sources

When the legislation database is not enough, the assistant runs a web search that prioritises official sources. For Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) matters it also prioritises aifc.kz and iac.kz. Other sites can also appear in the results.

Official portals
adilet.zan.kzgov.kzakorda.kzparlam.kz

aifc.kziac.kz

Documents in three languages

Work with documents in Kazakh, Russian and English. Built-in OCR is tuned for Kazakh and Russian, and translation keeps structure, requisites and amounts intact.

Platform questions

Which files can AdiletAI read?

PDF, Word (.docx), Excel, PowerPoint (.pptx), Outlook e‑mails (.msg), images and scans. You can attach up to 100 files to an Assistant chat, and a vault takes files of up to 500 MB each. Built-in OCR makes scans readable and is tuned for Kazakh and Russian. If a file cannot be read, AdiletAI tells you instead of guessing.

Which formats can we export?

Review tables export to Excel (XLSX), CSV, PDF, Word (DOCX) and plain text. A court practice memorandum exports as Markdown, HTML or plain text.

Does AdiletAI check its own citations?

The Assistant lists the sources it drew on in a Sources panel, so the reviewing lawyer can check them. The only automatic check is in court practice analysis: before a memorandum is exported, every case number, norm and link in it is checked against the analysis’ own source list, and mismatches are flagged. Output must be reviewed by a lawyer.

Which languages does AdiletAI work in?

Ask in Kazakh, Russian or English, and general answers come back in your language. Documents can be translated between all three, and built-in OCR is tuned for Kazakh and Russian. Contract scans, drafts, tax-mode answers and court practice analyses are produced in Russian by default, the legislation database is Russian-language, and the app interface is in Russian.

Who can see our vaults, chats and analyses?

Vaults, chats and analyses are private to your account, and you can delete documents, vaults and chats at any time. Each court practice analysis is private to the lawyer who created it.
